Part of my practice involves co running Walking Talking and Drawing workshops.
These workshops encourage people in the company of others to find or rekindle their relationship with drawing and mark making.
I have worked on joint exhibitions and projects over the last ten years with other artists and makers. I try through my work to convey the experience of relating to the environment: the visual and sensory stimuli, an awareness of its history and essential instability.
I like to share my ways of looking and recording with other people. This includes technical processes as well as the inspiration that can come from being out in the world.
All Walking Talking and Walking courses combine guided demonstrations with a range of materials and encouragement to explore and share thoughts on the place and work made.
I run the workshops with fellow artist Denise Franklin and we do not believe that there is a ‘perfect drawing’. We want to encourage you to explore your relationship with your own creativity, try things out, make marks and be surprised.
The next two day workshops are running in April and May 2018. For information please contact me.
